To change the file type, you can open your image with the Print application and then save it as any file type that you want.

PrtSc + Alt

  • Click on New after getting ready to take the screenshot. The screen will disappear, and the cursor will change to a cross. If you choose the delay option, the screen will disappear after the selected seconds.
  • If you choose the Rectangular snip mode, you can make a rectangle by clicking and dragging. The rectangle that you made will be the screenshot. 
  • If you choose the Free-form snip, you can click on a shape and draw it. Remember; after stopping the right click, you can take the screenshot. 
  • If you choose the Window snip, you can click on a window you want to take the screenshot of. 
  • If you choose the Full-screen snip after clicking on the screen, you can take a screenshot.

Method 3: Taking Screenshot with the Snip & Sketch Tool

This tool is a successor of the Snipping Tool app on Windows 10. You can easily edit, save, and customize your screenshots with this tool.

To take a screenshot with the Snip & Sketch tool, follow the steps below:

  1. To open this tool, you can hit the Try Snip & Sketch Feature button in the Snipping Tool app or hold the Win + Shift + S hotkey to open the app quickly.

  4. Now, your mouse cursor will turn to a crosshair, and move it to take a screenshot of your desired area.

Method 4: Taking Screenshots with the Xbox Game Bar

This method does not allow you to select a specific area to take a screenshot.
