But note that editing the registry can be dangerous we advise you to make a backup copy of the Windows registry first, in this case, if a problem occurs, you can effortlessly restore the registry settings on your computer.

2. Type regedit.exe in the Run dialog to open Registry Editor on Windows 11.

3. Next, you can navigate to the path in the left panel: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\WindowsUpdate\AU.

4. In the right window, right-click the blank space.

5. Select New -> DWORD (32-bit) Value to create a new value named NoAutoUpdate.

6. Double-click the new value and set its value to 1.

7. Save the change and restart your computer to execute the changes.
