2. How to Stop Windows 11 Update Temporarily

4. Stop Windows 11 Update by Setting up Metered Connection

3. In the left panel, select Network & Internet.

5. Turn Off Windows 11 Updates with Registry Editor

One of the methods that most people use to stop automatic updates in Windows 11 is to use the registry tool.

But note that editing the registry can be dangerous we advise you to make a backup copy of the Windows registry first, in this case, if a problem occurs, you can effortlessly restore the registry settings on your computer.

To do this, follow the steps below:

1. Hit Windows + R.

2. Type regedit.exe in the Run dialog to open Registry Editor on Windows 11.

3. Next, you can navigate to the path in the left panel: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\WindowsUpdate\AU.

4. In the right window, right-click the blank space.

5. Select New -> DWORD (32-bit) Value to create a new value named NoAutoUpdate.

6. Double-click the new value and set its value to 1.

7. Save the change and restart your computer to execute the changes.
