    1. All the data you don’t want to lose should be moved to another partition other than C. Create other folders for downloads and documents in a different partition other than C, and make sure that all downloaded and created documents are sent to these new folders. Delete large useless files. Delete unnecessary programs.

Let Windows 10 scan all temporary files that you can delete; the choice is yours: Start → Settings → System → Storage → Select which temporary files to delete. The system scans the computer for temporary files (give it a few minutes). All files that you can delete are displayed in the list. Check all files that you consider unnecessary: files of the previous OS, update optimization files, non-critical files used by Microsoft Defender antivirus, thumbnail images, temporary Internet files, DirectX shader cache, Windows update log files, Trash and downloads. Check them all, except for those that are less than 1 MB in size. Then go to the top of the list and click Delete Files. After that, minimize the settings and do what you did before. When you remember this, you can expand the settings again. If the files are deleted, you will see a notification about the deletion of files and that all files in the list have been removed, proving that the work has been done. Close the settings. Open this computer and see how much space has been freed up on C.
