  • Go to Setting.
  • Select Time & Language.
  • Select Language.
  • Next to Add a Language in the Preferred Language section, click on + sign.
  • Look for the language or the name of your country and choose it.
  • Select Next.
  • Next to Install Language Pack and Set as my Windows Display Language, ensure that there is a tick. You can also, check off Handwriting, Text-to-speech, and Speech recognition which are optional.
  • Select Install.
  • Choose Yes, now on the Windows alert, you should sign out.
  • After resigning back, you can find the new system language in all Microsoft programs, like system settings and software like Word.

Note: For switching languages, you should enter Languages Settings page, and open the drop-down menu to choose another language.

Disable Language Sync in Windows 10

  • Go to Settings.
  • Hit Accounts.
  • Select Sync your Settings.
  • Turn off Language Preferences.

Change Region Settings

You should change the region settings if you are changing the Windows 10 system language since you have relocated. After doing this procedure, change the default currency, adjust the date and time format and etc. To change region settings, follow the steps below:

  • Go to Settings.
  • Select Time & Language.
  • Choose Region.
  • From the drop-down menu at the top, click on a country or region.

  • Select the Back Arrow whenever you made changes.
  • Choose Additional date, time, and regional settings.
  • Choose Region.
  • Enter the Administrative tab and choose Change System Locale under Language for non-Unicode programs.
  • From the drop-down menu, choose a language.
  • Hit OK.
  • Select Cancel.
  • Choose Copy Settings.
  • In this section, look for Welcome screen, New user accounts and system accounts.
  • Hit OK.
  • Hit Close.
  • Select Restart now to save the new setting of your new region. You can also select Cancel and Restart later.

Change Windows 10 Display Language

Follow the steps below to change the language of display in Windows 10.

  • Select the highlighted “Additional Date, Time & Regional Settings” in the “Region & Language” Settings.
  • It leads to the Control Panel. In this section, you can change your language preferences and Windows display language.
  • Select Options next to the chosen language as Windows display language.
  • In this section, Windows checks whether the selected language is supported for Windows display. If it supported, you can download the language pack by clicking on Download and Install Language Pack.
  • The Windows will start downloading and installing the language pack.
  • After completing the installation, you will be asked to restart your PC.
  • After restarting, enter the same page and click on Make This as My Primary Language.
  • You need to log off and log in for the changes to apply.

Remove Language in Windows 10

Follow the steps below to remove the language in Windows 10:

  • In the Start Menu, enter Settings.
  • Choose Time & Language.
  • Enter the Region & Language tab.
  • Here, you can find all the language packed you installed before. You can change the language by choosing the language you want to set and select the Set as Default. If you click on Remove, you can remove a language.
  • After that you should restart your PC to apply changes.
