7. Search for Command Prompt, right-click the top result, and click on the Run as administrator option.

8. Type the following command to install a new update on Windows 11 and hit Enter:

wusa c:\PATH\TO\UPDATE.msu /quiet /norestart

In the command, update the path with the name of the .msu package and location. This example installs the KB5015814 update:

wusa c:\Users\USERACCOUNT\Downloads\windows10.0-kb5015814-x64.msu /quiet /norestart

9. Type the following command to confirm the update was installed correctly and hit Enter:

wmic qfe list brief /format:table

10. Type the following command to restart the device and hit Enter:

shutdown /r /t 00

After completing the steps, the quality update will be installed silently and your computer will restart so that it can apply the changes to your Windows11system.

4. Install updates manually using PowerShell on Windows 11

You can install a PowerShell module to download and update updates manually on Windows 11.

To install updates manually with PowerShell commands, use these steps:

1. Go to Start.

2. Search for PowerShell, right-click the top result, and click on the Run as administrator option.

3. Type the following command to install the PowerShell module to update Windows 11 and hit Enter:

11. Type the following command to download and install all available updates and hit Enter:

14. Type the following command to view a list of previously installed updates and hit Enter:

Get-WUHistory

After completing the Windows 11 update process, it will be downloaded and installed on your computer.

5. Install optional updates on Windows 11

Please note that in Windows 11, optional updates are not necessary and are not mandatory, be sure to apply them, and it may be harmful to other functions.

Typically, these updates are available for Microsoft feature updates, third-party drivers, and other products (such as network adapters, Bluetooth peripherals, cameras, graphics cards, and printers).

To install optional updates manually on Windows 11, use these steps:

1. Go to Settings.

2. Select Windows Update.

3. Select the Advanced options tab.

4. Under the Additional options section, select the Optional updates setting.

6. Select the optional updates to install on Windows 11.

6. Install feature updates on Windows 11

The new Windows 11 updates have further features and changes

Such updates are optional and must be installed manually

But if the current version of Windows 11 on your system reaches the end of service, the update will be installed automatically.

To install a feature update manually on Windows 11, use these steps:

1. Go to Settings.

2. Select Windows Update.

3. Select Check for updates button.

4. Select the Download and Install now button.
